FCM ONE: A FOREX TRADING PLATFORM$29.99

FCM ONE: A FOREX TRADING PLATFORM

Author: John Taddeo

Nova Southeastern University

It's All Foreign (Currency) to Me.

FCM ONE: It's All Foreign Currency to Me follows the launch of a high-risk online currency exchange startup built by one relentless founder working around the clock beside graduate students, coders, and quantitative analysts hired to translate massive financial formulas into functioning software under work-for-hire agreements. As the platform begins scaling internationally, the legal problems grow just as fast. Ownership of code, IP assignment, contractor classification, confidentiality, proprietary algorithms, and financial compliance collide inside a business where tiny formula errors can create enormous losses. The founder built the vision, funded the chaos, and pushed the project forward—but who actually owns the platform once everybody's code becomes part of the machine?

NERF NATION ARENA INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY

Author: John Taddeo

Nova Southeastern University

HEROES WANTED.

NERF NATION ARENA turns a fast-growing foam-blaster entertainment league into a high-stakes securities and business-law crisis where the real danger is not the game — it is raising money illegally. Built around the explosive growth of a fictional competitive entertainment startup, the project forces students to navigate private placements, investor solicitation rules, securities exemptions, sponsorship deals, liability exposure, corporate structure, influencer marketing, and the razor-thin line between aggressive fundraising and securities fraud. Students must advise founders desperate to scale quickly without triggering catastrophic SEC attention. This project transforms startup hype, entertainment culture, and entrepreneurial ambition into a brutally realistic exercise in modern capital investment law and securities.

CRAZY CUPS: CAN YOU PATENT A SILICONE CUP?

Author: John Taddeo

Nova Southeastern University

Who's Flexible?

CRAZY CUPS claims it owns the patent rights to silicone drinkware and has begun threatening competitors, retailers, and manufacturers with lawsuits over flexible drinking cups. But does owning a patent mean owning an entire product category? This project forces students into the middle of a modern intellectual-property war involving patents, product design, manufacturing, marketing claims, licensing leverage, competition strategy, and the dangerous gap between legal reality and corporate intimidation. Students must determine whether CRAZY CUPS truly owns groundbreaking technology—or whether the company is using aggressive legal threats to scare an entire industry into submission.

EVERYBODY WANTS BOOBS...Glassware.Free

EVERYBODY WANTS BOOBS...Glassware.

Author: John Taddeo

Nova Southeastern University

BASED ON A TRUE DISPUTE (In Florida...of Course.)

In "Everybody Wants Boobs…Glassware" a ridiculous souvenir shot-glass, sold in beach shops up and down the east coast, may become the centerpiece of a million dollar lawsuit...and a courtroom full of "Boobs Glassware" stamped "Exhibit." THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED. Being a lawyer is a new adventure every day. The legal arguments are stacked, the claims are top-heavy, and everyone is trying to get a grip on the concept of "Useful articles." In this Tale of Two Boob CEOs, a souvenir glassware maker gets slapped with a cease-and-desist letter (From a Boob Lawyer) over his bikini-body shaped “Boob Shot-glass.” From there, the case gets bigger, bouncier, and really starts shaking as legally things get more exposed by the day. Students must lift, separate, and examine every curve of the law: What is expression? What is function? When does a shot-glass stop being a shot-glass? Will this Plaintiff support his argument, or will your students prevent the boob job of the century? A TRUE STORY - BASED UPON A REAL DEMAND TO CEASE & DESIST...and the Boobs who sent it.

The Boys on the BlockFree

The Boys on the Block

Author: John Taddeo

Nova Southeastern University

THE PIZZA DELIVERY

On a street ruled by chaos, one kid dives to catch a ball, and lands on the wrong lawn - the property of Tony "No Baloney." Tony doesn’t forgive. He attacks. He threatens. He steals the ball. But revenge is delivered to his front door. with extra cheese! Watch as a childish prank becomes an all-out war, where pizza, pride, and payback collide. Based on one of many true story from a crazy 80's Staten Island street, The Boys on the Block is "The Sandlot" meets "Goodfellas." However, beneath the laughs, insults, and flying pizzas is a torts exercise wrapped inside a comedy. There's obviously battery, but there's also glorious issue-spotting, an all the traps students have been warned about. The series offers legal study that does not feel like homework. Students get a funny, fast-moving story they actually want to read, packed with torts issues hiding in plain sight. For professors, it is a ready-made classroom tool: memorable facts, conflicting perspectives, outrageous conduct, and endless opportunities that will make students lean forward instead of checking out.

PUBLIC HUMILIATION: Mike Roddick Has Two Small Problems$39.99

PUBLIC HUMILIATION: Mike Roddick Has Two Small Problems

Author: John Taddeo

Nova Southeastern University

Mike Roddick has a Small Problem - Copyright Infringement!

Michael "Mike" Roddick built Mike's Discount Video, Inc. into a surprisingly huge business selling public-domain movies at very small prices. Then one tiny cease-and-desist letter, and then another, created one enormous problem: apparently some films can be public domain-without actually being "Free to Use." ...but how? Now, Mike has an even bigger idea. Trading cards. Shirts. Mugs. Posters. Merchandise built from It's a Wonderful Life, Night of the Living Dead, and the Superman Fleischer Cartoons...because again, all are in the Public Domain, right? Wrong. Every one of those films carries surviving rights somewhere, but from where? Meanwhile, Anna (the upstairs neighbor that Mike is dating) and Mary (the downstairs neighbor that Mike is dating) have just learned that Mike is a cheat. With Anna controlling Mike's water and electric (which comes from above) and Mary controlling Mike's heat and garbage chute (from below) Mike is completely screwed. Will he go bankrupt? Will he survive a copyright infringement lawsuit? Mike Rodick's fate is in your hands.
